Message From the Principal

WELL, IT IS HARD TO BELIEVE, but the end of the 1st quarter is just around the corner.  Quarter 1 ends on Oct 24th.  Report cards should go home on Oct 31st.  Please remember that Powerschool is the best source of information about your child's academic progress, along with contacting the teacher at any time with any questions that you may have.  I also want to extend my sincere appreciation and genuine amazement with regard to the overwhelming response we got to the Toy and Craft Drive for Children's Hospital.  What a humbling display of kindness.  Thank you to everyone.  We live in such a wonderful community.
We truly want to work with you as a team.  Education of our children is one of the most valuable and challenging honors to hold.  Thank you for entrusting us with this job.  We all want your children to be successful.  Please stay up to date and aware of everything that is going on by visiting this website, contacting your child(ren)'s teachers and even volunteering when you are able!  Should you have any additional questions about school, please call the school office.
All parents are suggested to visit and explore all the school website information, teacher pages, and Powerschool to check grades regularly.  Connect with your child(ren)'s teacher with any questions or concerns. Please let us know what we can do to make the days better for you and your child(ren).

Please visit the site often for any changes or news.  OR Check out our twitter feed @SunriseElemK5.  Also, please don't hesitate to contact us, as needed, should you need anything.

The office is open Monday thru Friday from 8am to 4pm.  If you call at other times, you will either be able to leave a message or someone may answer the phone if they are in the office.  Please contact me with any issues or concerns. Dr. Karin Coiner - - coinerk@penntrafford.org

Sunrise Estates Elementary School is a neighborhood school that houses grades K-5.  We are one of five elementary schools for the district.  Currently, our enrollment is just over 320 students.  We have approximately 35 staff members that work in the building.  We offer half day Kindergarten, both AM and PM. Building services include speech and language, learning support, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and gifted needs.

ABOUT SUNRISE ESTATES

What do we stand for?  What do we believe?  Where are we headed?  What are our values?  Ever wonder the answers to these questions?

The following Vision Statements were created by the Staff of Sunrise Elementary during June of 2012.  They are what we believe are the Core elements of educating our learners each and every day.  Sunrise takes pride in our school, our district, and educating our littlest ones to become successful learners from this point forward.  Our Sunrise Vision follows the district beliefs, core values, and soft skills.

The entire Vision can be found by clicking this link.  Sunrise Vision
